You don't have to be a member to receive updates from the chapter, register for luncheons, pay for registrations online, get event notifications and learn what's going on with the national organization in Washington, D.C.

Summer has arrived. Can you believe it? Although for many of us, summer arrived the day we felt the first drop of humidity. Oh. . .how we love Houston!
Hello and welcome. My name is Monica Moreno and I will be serving as President of the AWRT Houston Chapter for the 2009-2010 term. I am very excited for the coming year! With over 30 dedicated members on the Board of Directors, we look forward to bringing you new and compelling programs throughout the year. Some of our favorite events will also be back - the Battle of the Ad Stars Media Field Day and the Star Awards Gala, each benefitting our AWRT Scholarship Fund and the Dream Fund.
We have a fabulous July Luncheon planned for you and it is sure to answer some of your burning questions about TWEETING, STATUS UPDATES, AND BLOGGING. Mark your calendars for our Social Media panel luncheon on July 8th at 11:30am at the Briar Club (2603 Timmons Lane, Houston, TX). Please join AWRT on July 8th as we learn about how brands are using social media to discover, read and share information and content. Facebook, Twitter, blogs, internet forums (just to name a few) are growing at a fast pace. We will talk about best practices on how to use social media for your clients, company and yourself.
