WHEN: Thursday May 1, 2008 WHERE: The Mayor Jim McConn Memorial Ballfield (off the Memorial Park Loop, caddy corner from Becks Prime, 6501 Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77007...same place as last year) TIME: 2pm - 6pm * Rain Date - May 8th 2008 The 2008 Battle of the Ad Stars is one of the most anticipated media events of the year, as teams, representing dozens of Houston advertising mediums, come together for an afternoon of fun and philanthrophy...and of course, free drinks! 2008 Summer Internships and Fall Scholarships Available!! § Each Year AWRT Houston awards scholarships and internships to outstanding College Juniors and Seniors, both men and women, interested in pursuing a career in media. § In the past, up to $10,000 in scholarship money has gone out to ambitious Juniors and Seniors interested in taking the next step toward a career in media.
